SPORTS ACTIVITIES 2022-2023

The annual Sports Activities is one of the most awaited events at the college campus for sports players. This year, DON BOSCO COLLEGE ANNUAL SPORTS DAY celebrated from 21 st Feb to 25 th Feb 2023. The official notice was generated on 3 rd Feb 2023. The first sports competition began with Football inter-class tournaments and it was played on college turf ground. The teams were played in the form of league cum knockout interclass tournament. Basketball and Cricket teams were also played in the form of league cum knockout interclass tournament. Individual matches were taken for Chess, Carom, and Badminton & Athletics.
All these Sports activities were conducted in presence of teaching and non-teaching staff. Principal – Dr. P. N. Shende, Director – Fr. Michael Bansode, CEO –Asst. 21 st FEB Football & Basketball
Football and Basketball matches were conducted at the turf. In the presence of Principal – Dr. P. N. Shende, Director – Fr. Michael Bansode and Staff. Students were very excited and energetic for the matches and from each class there were at least one team. In each team 6+3 players were allowed in Football teams and 5+3 players were allowed for Basketball teams. Football Matches were conducted in the turf and Basketball matches at the basketball court. Students were cheering and encouraging teams and all the students were enjoying the competition.
22 nd FEB Chess, Carom, Athletics
Chess, Carom, Matches were conducted in the premises of the senior college at the ground floor in the presence of Principal- Dr. P. N. Shende, Director – Fr. Michael Bansode and Staff. In Chess competition there were 14 Boys participants and in Carom there were 32 Boys and 16 girls have taken part in the competition. Students were very excited and they enjoyed the games. In Athletics there were 33 participants for (100meter running) competition was conducted in the form of Hits and the winners were selected for the Final Hits.
23 rd FEB Cricket, Badminton
Cricket & Badminton matches were conducted on this day.Principal- Dr. P. N. Shende, Director – Fr. Michael Bansodeand Staff had encouraged the participants. Cricket matches were taken on the college ground and Badminton matches were taken at the Badminton court. There was participation of 5 teams in cricket. Matches were conducted in the form of league cum knockout tournament. In each team 8+3 players were allowed to play and the match was of 4 over’s. Tennis ball was taken for the cricket match. Students enjoyed the match and there was tough competition between the teams. In Badminton there were 27 boys and 14 girls have participated for the competition. The matches were conducted in the form of Knockout interclass tournament.
25 th FEB Prize Distribution
Students and all the participants where very excited for this day as the winners were given trophies. All the sports winners were given trophies and certificates by the Chief Guest – Dr. Milind Bhoi Director – Fr. Michael Bansode and Principal- Dr. P. N. Shende.

This type of events have given an very good opportunity for the students of Don Bosco College and this events were organized by Principal – Dr. P. N. Shende and were followed by staff and students.
